What do you do when you feel like the company you are interning for is just using you for the free labor and uses the excuse of “Money is tight for payment”?

I don’t want to feel like this anymore. I want to feel in love with the work I do and not feel as if I am obligated to someone who won’t even shell out any type of money for me. You’ve been in business for three years already. How are you telling me there is still money issues…… I honestly don’t know about this company. I mean, they’ve been featured in Vogue, Cosmo, Marie Claire, and a few international magazines, seen on a few celebrities but, what good is it when the people who help you (Or try to help you) are feeling as if they are just being used.

They reassure me that they appreciate my help but, I honestly don’t feel that they do. I feel like I stuck in a bad relationship where there is no communication between each other. I really want to make this work and see if I can hold on longer in hopes that something good will come my way but, if one is not trying than how can there be any progress? I really know better but, I just don’t know if leaving would be the right thing.

I think I should just looking for another place here in L.A. and find someone who wants the help and has the option of a possible hire. I just don’t think this company is going to cut it for me anymore. It’s pretty much been a year and nothing has changed, no growth for me, no new projects, no new responsibilities, nothing. Someone once told me that they needed me more than I needed them. This may be true but, if they need me they will meet my halfway at least. Not, leave me in the dark for a few weeks or a month and then expect me to know what’s going on.

Maybe it’s just time to move on. Like Madonna says “There’s only so much you can learn in one place. The more that you wait, the more time that you waste”

DIY Easy Summer Gold Jump Ring and Bead Necklace Tutorial. This is one of those projects I like because it is easy, cheap (jump rings), and anyone can do it and personalize it. Tutorial from flax & twine here. *You could substitute jump rings with pearls/shells (with large holes).

Anonymous asked: My suggested that I come to this page to ask for some styling tips. I am a curvy girl and don't go out much.. What should I wear to my first Job interview. I want to look really good but, don't want to look slutty!

I simple look should be appropriate for a job interview. However, I think that the setting and place would be more of a question of what you are going to wear.

You don’t want to wear a cute long dress and some nice flats if it’s going to be an office position. If it’s more of a laid back kind of simple retail job you I would most defiantly go with that but, if it’s more of a serious professional setting and interview try a more classier look. Personally I would do an geometric skirt with some folds on the front… probably a nice pink or soft color and a bold solid color top like a blue chiffon top. Make sure you have an appropriate top underneath it. Pair it with some nice heels and some gold accessories. Less is more I always say.

As far as your make up and hair goes.. I would say try and incorporate something natural with your make up and something not to laid back but not to formal either. One thing I always see with girls is that they always try to make their make up with what they are wearing TOTALLY TACKY AND NOT CUTE MOST OF THE TIME! stay with something elegant and that is not going to look to juvenile.

I hope this answered your question. Good Luck on your interview!

DIY Leather Studded Bracelet. Gorgeous jewelry on this site. Practical? May be not, but I love the colors. When machine stitching, use the right needle for leather or you will cry over many broken needles. Tutorial from FaSHionRoLLa here. *I’ve mentioned before that one of the tools I own is a leather punch. They are pretty cheap and come in handy for lots of other things.
